Devarim Snapshot
We would sit in the Green Room
Your Mommy, or Tatte, and me
For a Yom Kippur brocha
And I’d say what I see.
I was proud of their strengths,
These were admired,
And their weaknesses, too,
For to learn, they’re required.
I did it with love,
And I was not unaware,
That they might disagree,
Or simply not care.
And so it is with this parsha we read,
That Moshe speaks straight from the heart,
The good and the bad,
The happy and sad,
Soon before he has to part.
